<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus capable of reducing a possibility that a function expansion device constantly connected via a USB is damaged by an external force and a possibility that the function expansion device is erroneously disconnected.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus including USB sockets on front and rear surfaces, respectively, comprises: a determination unit that determines whether a USB device inserted into a front USB socket 184 is a function expansion device; and a control unit that controls the USB device not to be made into a usable state if the determination unit determines that the function expansion device is inserted. This can prevent the USB device for expanding functions of the image formation apparatus from being used in a state in which the USB device is constantly connected to the front USB socket, and reduce the possibility of damaging or detaching the USB device.</p> |
