The arrangement has a window airbag provided on a side collision of a vehicle in deployed state and in a region of a column housing at an unexpanded state. A roof liner is arranged on the column housing. An opening is provided in the window airbag. A flexible column cover (1) i.e. B-column cover, is fixed with the column housing and the roof liner. The column housing is arranged in sections covered by the column cover for optimum deployment of the window airbag. The column cover is releasably secured to the roof liner by an adhesive tape (3).
