The method involves actuating positioning units e.g. safety belt (7), pre-tensioner, reel tensioner and blow-molding, attached to a vehicle seat (1). Vehicle occupants (2) are located on the vehicle seat and positioned by the positioning units. The positioning units are initiated in a vehicle (F) when imminent collision is detected and set into an operative position such that collision related injuries to the occupants in the vehicle seat are reduced optimally and the occupants are positioned relative to an airbag.
