The holding unit has a fastening section for fastening at a hospital- or nursing bed or a hospital- or handicapped chair. A receiving section is provided for receiving of beverage containers or another holding unit. The fastening section is formed as U-shaped brackets (1,3) which is provided in area at closed end with a section extending the internal clearance diameters (4,5). The fastening section is provided with a closed ring (2) or two ring segments outside for receiving the beverage containers or another holding unit. The holding unit is made of plastic or a plastic-metal composite material.
