The present invention relates to a method for synthesizing and controlling a virtual space navigation operation of a 3D character using a depth map sensor. The method and apparatus for synthesizing and controlling the virtual space navigation operation of the 3D character using the depth map sensor according to the present invention substantially reflect the motion of a user by using the depth map sensor and overcome the limitation of a place at the same time.
