PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raindrop device capable of resolving visual troublesomeness of a user.SOLUTION: In a rain sensor 3 equipped with a microcomputer 30 detecting raindrops adhered to an outer surface of a window glass 1 and controlling a wiping device 2 according to the amount of the raindrops, the microcomputer 30 comprises: a brightness histogram creating portion 34 for creating a brightness histogram on the basis of brightness information obtained by imaging a front side of the window glass 1 including the raindrops W adhered to the outer surface of the window glass 1 with a CCD camera 15; and a wiper control portion 35 increasing the wiping performance of the wiper device 2 as compared with a case that a brightness distribution D1 has one peak P1, when the brightness distribution D2 of the brightness histogram has a plurality of peaks P2 and P3. Therefore, the absence/absence of contrast between outside illuminance and raindrop brightness can be detected by the brightness distributions D1 and D2 of the brightness histogram. |
