A line pattern imageβis composed by forming a chain of unit pattern imagesαin the direction of a lens width. A first test pattern imageγis formed by forming a chain of the line pattern imagesβin the direction of a lens groove. The magnification of each line pattern imageβin the direction of the lens width is changed by a predetermined degree for each line pattern imageβn the direction of the lens groove. The test pattern imageγis printed on a lenticular screen. Moire is checked by viewing or scanning the lenticular screen. The magnification of the line pattern imageβwith less Moire is employed. A line pattern image in which magnifications are combined is used as a second test pattern image. The amount of skew is determined from the Moire width.
