<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, in an image forming apparatus, access to a drive transmission member from an operator with an inexpensive configuration, and protect the drive transmission member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a protection member that can move between a protection position for preventing, when a cartridge is not attached to an attachment part, a drive transmission member from exposing to the attachment part, and an open position for allowing, when the cartridge is attached to the attachment part, the drive transmission member to retreat from the protection position upon attachment of the cartridge and expose to the attachment part to engage with a drive transmission target member.</p> |
