<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an end cap for light emission, whereby a laser beam with a desired emission shape can be emitted.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an end cap for light emission comprises: a preparation step P1 in which an optical fiber 200 is prepared, the refraction index of a core 110 being equal to or lower than the refraction index of a clad 120, and the core 110 having a glass rod 100 to which dopant whose refraction index increases higher than the clad 120 by means of ultraviolet, is added and a core 210 to which dopant whose refraction index does not increase higher than the core 110 when ultraviolet is emitted thereto, is added; a connection step P2 in which the glass rod 100 and the optical fiber 210 are connected; and a waveguide structure formation step P4 in which a waveguide structure is formed on only the one end part 151 side of the glass rod 100 by inputting light from the optical fiber 200 into the glass rod and then emitting an ultraviolet ray only to the one end part of the glass rod 100 while light output from the glass rod 100 is observed.</p> |
