PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a degradation of resolution in a still picture due to a deviation of center of gravity when a still picture is generated while electrical charges are stored for a storage time exceeding a 1-field period and read out by interlacing from each field every field period.SOLUTION: Provided is an image processing device for processing electrical charges read out by interlaced readout of an odd-number field and an even-number field from an image pickup element alternately every 1-field period, the image processing device comprising: acquisition means for acquiring a storage time of the image pickup element; instruction means for instructing the generation of a still picture; and still picture generation means for generating, when generation of a still picture is instructed, a still picture on the basis of either an odd-number or an even-number field immediately after the instruction given, if the storage time is longer than a predetermined first time which is longer than the 1-field period, or generates a still picture on the basis of an odd-number and an even-number field signal immediately after the instruction given, if the storage time is less than or equal to the first time. |
