PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power required for heating in a heating part by increasing the cooling efficiency of cooling means and eliminating excessive cooling by the cooling means.SOLUTION: A gloss applicator 300 including a glossing heating roller 21, an endless belt 24 rotated while being heated, a glossing pressure roller 22 coming into press-contact with the glossing heating roller 21 through the endless belt 24, to form a nip part, and cooling members 41, 51, and 61 cooling the endless belt 24, allowing a recording material P on which a toner image T is formed to enter the nip part, conveying the recording material P in a contact state with the endless belt 24 from the nip part, and peeling the recording material P from the endless belt 24 after cooling comprises a plurality of cooling members 41, 51 and 61 in the conveyance direction of the recording material, the cooling control means being capable of independently controlling the cooling states of the endless belt 24 by the plurality of cooling members 41, 51 and 61. |
