The present invention relates to a terpene modified phenol resin and a rubber composition for a thread including the same. More specifically, a terpene modified phenol resin according to the present invention improves compatibility of phenol compounds and rubber ingredients included in the rubber composition, and a rubber composition for a tire tread including the terpene modified phenol resin significantly improves physical properties such as grip strength and the like.
