<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that has a heating rotary belt and a belt guide member used for guiding rotation of the heating rotary belt, the fixing device being able to decrease heat capacity.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a heating rotary belt 9a having a first heat generation layer; a pressing member 92 abutting on the internal surface of the heating rotary belt 9a; a pressing rotor 9b forming a fixing nip F between the heating rotary belt 9a and itself; a magnetic flux generating part 71; a magnetic body core part 72; and a belt guide member 77 arranged on the internal surface side of the heating rotary belt 9a and opposite the magnetic flux generating part 71 with the heating rotary belt 9a between them, configured to position the heating rotary belt 9a in contact with the internal surface, and guide rotation of the heating rotary belt 9a, and having a base material layer 771 and a heat insulation layer 772 arranged on the heating rotary belt 9a side of the base material layer 771. The heat insulation layer 772 is formed from an anisotropic heat conductive material smaller in heat conductivity in the direction of thickness than heat conductivity in the direction in which the heat insulation layer extends.</p> |
