Provided is an electric motor that is capable of being assembled easily and that has the advantage of a retrofitting method that has good maintainability and no risk of a temperature sensitive device being damaged or the like due to resin injection pressure. An electric motor comprises an electric motor shaft (11), a rotor (12), a stator (13), a housing (14), a sealing body (20) made from a sealing agent and covering the coil end (19a) of the stator (13), a temperature sensitive device (S), an end cover (15), and an elastic pressing member (22). The electric motor shaft (11) passes through the end cover (15). The sealing body (20) comprises a temperature sensitive device supporting face that faces the end cover (20). The temperature sensitive device (S) is held between the end cover (15) and the temperature sensitive device supporting face with the pressing member (22) being interposed between the temperature sensitive device (S) and the end cover (15). |
