<p>The present invention is a torque limiter: which is capable of reducing frictional wear of an inner ring member; with which the number of parts can be decreased; and which is designed to reduce cost. The present invention also provides a torque limiter unit. The torque limiter is configured so that: a coil spring (13), which is press-fitted on the outer circumference of an inner ring member (12) via a lubricant, is formed from resin; one end of the coil spring (13) is held by a housing (14); and when the torque between the inner ring member (12) and the housing (14) is at or below a prescribed value, the coil spring (13) transmits torque between the inner ring member (12) and the housing (14) without slipping and when the torque between the inner ring member (12) and the housing (14) exceeds the prescribed value, the coil spring (13) slips to block transmission of torque between the inner ring member (12) and the housing (14).</p> |
