The battery module (10) has several battery cells (1) which are arranged and thermally conductively connected to housing (11). The housing is thermally conductively connected to a heat removal system. An inner shell (111) of housing is internally mechanically and thermally conductively connected to the battery cells. An outer shell (112) of housing is fluid-tightly covers the grooves (111') so as to form fluid channels. An independent claim is included for motor vehicle.
