The compensation tank (1) has two tank shells (6,7) arranged over one another and tightly connected to each other. The compensation tank encloses an inner tank (13) partially filled by corrosion inhibitor in the form of granules. The wall of the inner container is liquid permeable in partial areas (26,27). A holding- and locking unit is formed at the lower of the two tank shells and a counter lock unit is formed at the inner tank enclosing the corrosion inhibitor.
