PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a situation of a periphery of a vehicle at a time of occurrence of an event to be accurately grasped in an ex-post manner.SOLUTION: A data acquisition unit of a playback device acquires a periphery video image indicative of a periphery of a vehicle obtained during driving of a vehicle, and detection data obtained by various sensors of the vehicle during driving. Further, an event detection unit detects an event during driving of the vehicle on the basis of the detection data, and a video image generation unit generates a playback video image 7 for playing back on the basis of the periphery video image. Then, the video image generation unit generates the playback video image 7 matching an identified object corresponding to the event at a playback time corresponding to the event occurrence time. Accordingly, the playback video image 7 is configured to be automatically matched with respect to an object to be observed in the event at the playback time corresponding to the event occurrence time. Thus, a user can accurately grasp a situation of the periphery of the vehicle at the event occurrence time in an ex-post manner. |
