PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing member that is prevented from being plastically deformed even when being subjected to large deformation that occurs when images are fixed on cardboard.SOLUTION: A fixing member for fixing electrophotography has an elastic layer and an outermost surface release layer laminated on a substrate. The elastic layer is a continuous layer, and has fibrous fillers distributed locally on the outermost surface release layer side.
