PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably charge a transferred recording medium with a simple configuration, and to allow the recording medium to be stably separated from a transfer belt.SOLUTION: An electrode roll 56 is provided downstream of a secondary transfer roll 55, to discharge a transferred sheet P. The electrode roll 56 is arranged so that an outer peripheral surface in contact with the sheet P comes in contact with a normal H extended from a nip N in a center line L connecting the center of a back-up roll 52 and the center of the secondary transfer roll 55. The electrode roll 56 is brought into contact with ground G to discharge the charged sheet P. The secondary transfer roll 55 and the electrode roll 56 are in contact with each other so that outer peripheral surfaces thereof press each other. The secondary transfer roll 55 is grounded via the electrode roll 56. |
