PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solar battery that can prevent reduction in characteristics caused by sneaking without increasing manufacturing man hours, and that has a high photoelectric conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: A solar battery comprises: a crystal system semiconductor substrate (an n-type single crystal silicon substrate 1) of a first conductivity type; an amorphous semiconductor layer of a second conductivity type different from the first conductivity type, which is formed so as to sneak from an upper part of a first principal surface of the semiconductor substrate to a lateral surface of the semiconductor substrate; a light transmissive conductive film formed on the amorphous semiconductor layer of the second conductivity type; a first collector electrode formed on the light transmissive conductive film; and a second collector electrode formed on the second principal surface side of the semiconductor substrate. At least a light-receiving surface side collector electrode 7 of the first and second collector electrodes, is configured by a light-shielding material, and formed along an outer periphery of the n-type single crystal silicon substrate 1. |
