PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce collision noise which is generated at operation, related to an electromagnetic suction valve arranged at a high-pressure fuel supply pump.SOLUTION: A mass of a member which collides by a magnetic suction force is reduced in order to reduce the generated noise. As a result, the following effects can be obtained. The noise generated at a collision of a core and an anchor by the magnetic suction force depends on a magnitude of the motion energy of a movable part. The motion energy consumed by the collision is only the motion energy of the anchor. Since the motion energy of a rod is absorbed by a spring and does not contribute to the noise, the energy at the collision of the anchor and the core can be reduced, and the generated noise can be reduced.
