A multipole jack (1) according to the present invention has a main body (2) and a case (3). The substantially cylindrical main body (2) includes terminal base parts (21a - 21i) which come in contact with electrodes of a multipole plug. Connection ends (212a - 212i) of the terminal base parts (21a - 21i) are lead out from the main body (2). Further, the main body (2) is attached to the substantially cylindrical bottomed resin case (3) through an opening (31) thereof. Inner ends (341a - 341i) of extended terminals (34a - 34i) insertion-molded to project inside and outside a lateral wall (35) of the case (3) are electrically connected to the connection ends (212a - 212i) of the corresponding terminal base parts (21a - 21i). The present invention reduces the overall length of the multipole jack and allows for a further increase in the size of the battery for an electronic device on which the multipole jack is mounted, while shortening the length of terminals provided so as to respond to demand for a reduction in the size of the multipole jack even if the number of poles increases. |
