The present invention relates to an imaging device and procedures for use of same for non-invasive visualization of subcutaneous phenomena, such as blood vessels. The imaging system (1) adapted for visualizing an infrared absorbing structure in a scattering medium, comprises at least one camera enabled detection system imaging said infrared absorbing structure (5), at least one pointer light (8) arranged to emit a light pointer at the surface of the scattering medium (7) above said infrared absorbing structure, and at least one display means (4) displaying a real-time image of the infrared absorbing structure and displaying a marker (6) on the part of the imaged infrared absorbing structure corresponding to part of the infrared absorbing structure under the light pointer (8). Through the use of the imaging device it is possible to get real-time image on the display corresponding to the infrared absorbing structure directly under the pointer thereby facilitating for example an injection into a blood vessel. |
