The industrial truck (1) e.g. counterbalance fork-lift truck (2), has an electrical heater for an operator workstation (13). The operator workstation comprises a permanently open entrance (22) that is not closed by an operator cab door (20). The electrical heater is formed by an electrical radiant heat surface heating element (19) i.e. infrared surface heating element, for heating the operator workstation. A closed driver canopy (12) is arranged over the operator workstation. The driver canopy comprises a windscreen (17) and/or a rear window (18).
