The seat comprises a backrest (1.1) with a headrest (1.2) and a seat cushion (1.3) formed to a seat surface. The gas generator is arranged in a floor space of the seat. A forward displacement of the occupants is limited in an unbelted condition in a direction of another vehicle seat by the air bag.
