The component has a tube (1) whose axial ends having diameter which is less than the diameter of the axial ends of the lying portion (3). The tube is made of a titanium alloy and is expanded through a superplastic forming process of the tube with a smaller diameter. The axial ends are provided with an internal thread (4), and are designed as fork head. An independent claim is included for a method for forming pipe.
