The method produces an optical component array (100) that is an optical element having a first optical surface (11d) that is a macroscopic non-flat surface, wherein the method is provided with: a first mask formation step for partitioning the first optical surface (11d) into a plurality of regions and forming an island-shaped mask at a first region among the plurality of partitioned regions; a first etching step for etching the first region at which the island-shaped mask has been formed in the first mask formation step, forming an anti-reflective structure (51) at the first region; a second mask formation step that is after the first etching step and that is for forming an island-shaped mask at a second region differing from the first region among the plurality of regions; and a second etching step for forming an anti-reflective structure (51) at the second region by etching the second region at which the island-shape mask was formed in the second mask formation step.</p>
