The present invention relates to a device and method to synchronize an uplink signal of a base station test equipment. According to the device and method, a synchronization signal is extracted from a downlink from a base station so as to achieve an uplink synchronization without providing additional external terminals to a base station test equipment and the base station, thus simplifying the base station test equipment and the base station, thereby reducing the manufacturing costs of the base station and improve productivity. According to one aspect of the present invention, the device to synchronize an uplink signal of the base station test equipment includes: a duplexer to receive a DL signal and transmit a UL signal from/to a base station using an RF port; a DL synchronization detection unit to detect a DL timing from the DL signal received by the duplexer from the base station; a reference timing signal generation unit to generate a reference timing signal by compensating an initial timing by the DL timing; a UL timing signal generation unit to generate a UL timing signal by applying a timing offset of a UL and a DL to the reference timing signal; and a UL test signal generation unit to output a UL test signal in synchronization with the UL timing signal through the duplexer.
