PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building safety verification system and a building safety verification method for estimating damage degree of a building after earthquake occurrence.SOLUTION: A building safety verification system includes: an interlayer displacement measurement unit for acquiring interlayer displacement of each layer from measurement data of an acceleration sensor for measuring an acceleration of a layer of a building comprising a plurality of layers; a natural period measurement unit for acquiring a natural period of normally fine vibration of the building from a fine vibration sensor for measuring fine vibration of a top layer of the building or a layer in the vicinity of the top layer; and a building safety evaluation unit for evaluating safety of the building by the interlayer displacement acquired by the interlayer displacement measurement unit and the natural period acquired by the natural period measurement unit.
