PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a flexible polyurethane foam having an improved foam hardness and favorable distortion characteristics and durability characteristics.SOLUTION: The method for producing a flexible polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyol component (A) and an organic polyisocyanate component (B) in the presence of a foam stabilizer (C), a catalyst (D) and a foaming agent (E). The polyol component (A) contains a polyol (a1) mentioned below, and surface tensions γps and γws, mentioned below, satisfy formula (1) mentioned below. The polyol (a1): a polyoxypropylene addition product of an active hydrogen-containing compound (H), in which the ratio of primary hydroxy groups in terminal hydroxy groups is 40% or more. The surface tension γps: a surface tension of a mixture of specific amounts of (a1) and (C), measured at 25°C by using a Wilhelmy-type surface tensiometer. The surface tension γws: a surface tension of a mixture of specific amounts of (C) and (E), measured at 25°C by using the Wilhelmy-type surface tensiometer. 0<[γps-γws]<10 (1). |
