PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner carrier capable of preventing toner leakage from both ends of a toner carrier trunk part and suppressing generation of frictional heat on both the ends of the toner carrier trunk part.SOLUTION: A toner carrier includes a core metal 42, a toner carrier trunk part 38A having at least an elastic layer formed on an outer periphery of the core metal 42 and coating layers 43 formed on outer peripheral surfaces of both end parts of the toner carrier trunk part 38A. Each of the coating layers 43 has a thickness, a width A along an axial direction of the toner carrier trunk part 38A from an end face of the toner carrier trunk part 38A on the outer peripheral surface 43A side of the coating layer 43 is different from that of the inner peripheral surface 43B side, the width A on the outer peripheral surface 43A side is set larger than the width B of the inner peripheral surface 43B side, and an end face of the coating layer 43 is formed as an inverted inclined plane 43C. |
