Disclosed is a method for transmitting system frame number (SFN) information. The method comprises: when a base station schedules an SFN to a terminal, the base station carrying SFN information in an enhanced physical broadcast channel (Enhanced-PBCH), each unit frame comprising multiple Enhanced-PBCHs; and the base station sending the SFN information to the terminal by using the Enhanced-PBCH. Further disclosed are a system and an apparatus for transmitting SFN information. By using the present invention, the transmission performance of the base station for the terminal in an LTE system can be improved, thereby ensuring the normal communication demands of the terminal.
