The present invention relates to a female electrical terminal having a contact section receiving a contact pin (21) of a male electrical terminal. A spring module of the female electrical terminal is disposed in the contact section and fixes the contact pin (21) to the contact section. The spring module includes a first plate spring (131) pressing the contact pin (21) toward the contact section and a second plate spring (132) pressing the first plate spring (131) toward the contact pin (21). The first plate spring (131) includes a first flexure portion (131a), which comes into contact with the contact pin (21), preferably at its middle. The second plate spring (132) includes a first flexure portion (132a), which comes into contact with the first flexure portion (131a) of the first plate spring (131), preferably at its free end.
