Provided are a core material for a vacuum insulation containing 99-100 wt% of glass fiber and 0-1 wt% of carbonized binder, and the vacuum insulation comprising the same. Moreover, provided is a method for manufacturing the core material for the vacuum insulation, which comprises the steps of: preparing a glass fiber board comprising a glass fiber with the average diameter of 6-10 micrometers; thermally treating the glass fiber board and removing the binder; and removing the binder; and forming the core material for the vacuum insulation containing 99-100 wt% of glass fiber and 0-1 wt% of carbonized binder.
