This refrigerator oil composition for HFC refrigerants or HC refrigerants is an esterification product of an alcohol component that is composed of pentaerythritol and dipentaerythritol and a fatty acid component that is composed of a linear or branched fatty acid having 5 carbon atoms and/or a linear or branched fatty acid having 6 carbon atoms, and a linear or branched fatty acid having 8 carbon atoms and/or a linear or branched fatty acid having 9 carbon atoms. The fatty acid having 5 carbon atoms and/or the fatty acid having 6 carbon atoms in the fatty acid component is 20-100% by mole of the total amount of the fatty acid component, and either the alcohol component or the fatty acid component is a mixture.
