PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a light-emitting device having a reduced light-emitting area and a high extraction efficiency of light.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a light-emitting device comprises: on a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged at intervals from each other on a substrate, overlapping a plate-like optical layer larger than a combination of top faces of the plurality of light-emitting elements, and having predetermined control structures in the intervals, so as to sandwich an uncured transparent material, while a surface tension of the transparent material forms inclined planes each extending from a side face of the light-emitting element toward the control structure of the plate-like optical layer, in the intervals of the plurality of light-emitting elements; and thereafter curing a transparent material layer. Accordingly, the inclined planes of the transparent material layer can reflect light from the light-emitting elements and form cavities. |
