PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a knitted substrate which has a complicated shape, and in which yarns made of reinforcing fibers are arranged over the whole substrate while being crossed; and to provide the knitted substrate.SOLUTION: In accordance with a base paper pattern 100 which serves as a base for each of the shapes of knitted fabrics 10a and 10b to be knitted by a flat knitting machine, a first knitted fabric 10a is formed by knitting a base knitted fabric part with a knitting yarn 60 while inserting an inlay yarn 70 made of a reinforcing fiber in the knitting width direction. In the base paper pattern 100 used in common, a second knitted fabric 10b is formed by knitting a base knitted fabric part with the knitting yarn 60 while inserting the inlay yarn 70 made of the reinforcing fiber in the knitting width direction in accordance with the base paper pattern 100 arranged in a direction different from that upon knitting the first knitted fabric 10a. The first knitted fabric 10a and the second knitted fabric 10b are superposed on each other so that their shapes coincide with each other. |
