PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a fiber raw material which enables production of a fiber raw material allowing production of a cellulose sheet having good formation and excellent transparency and a method of producing a cellulose sheet by using the fiber raw material.SOLUTION: A method of producing a fiber raw material includes a mixing step of mixing lignocellulose raw material having an irregular freeness of 20-500 ml with a chemical treatment raw material prepared by treating the lignocellulose raw material chemically to prepare a raw material mixture and a fibrillation step of subjecting the raw material mixture to a fibrillation treatment. A method of producing a cellulose sheet includes a papermaking step of papermaking the fiber raw material and an application step of applying the fiber raw material to a processing substrate.
