PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for a shaft, a male member and a female member capable of suppressing sudden transmission of large power to a shaft by reducing initial rigidity in twisting and turning the male member in comparison with a conventional one and of reducing a sense of incongruity given to an operator.SOLUTION: A structure 20 for a shaft includes a male member 21 having a plurality of male tooth portions and a plurality of male tooth bottom portions on its outer peripheral portion 21b, a female member 22 having a plurality of female tooth portions 22b and a plurality of female tooth bottom portions 22c on its inner peripheral portion 22a, and an elastic member 23 disposed in a state of covering a surface of the outer peripheral portion of the male member 21. In an initial state of inserting the male member 21 into the female member 22, a first clearance gap S1 is formed between the elastic member 23 and positions opposed thereto, of side portions 22d of the female tooth portions 22b, so that a prescribed time difference is axially generated before the elastic member 23 is brought into contact with the side portions of the female tooth portions 22b, when the male member 21 is rotated. |
