PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording television programs.SOLUTION: A method for recording television programs comprises the steps of: displaying information relating to a television program on an item of a Web page; displaying a link on the Web page; providing an ability to select the link to a user; and scheduling recording of a television program in response to selection of the link. An interactive television system in which URL representing an Internet website is included in a television signal is provided. The user may link to a website by selecting an icon (95) displayed on a television screen.
