PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional imaging apparatus in which a display unit arranged in an imaging unit is too small to allow a user to confirm a parallax amount or is not originally compatible with 3D displaying though it has been requested to perform imaging while confirming how large parallax amount exists in each one of subjects since the control of a parallax amount in a 3D image is important in a presentation effect.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit for converting a received subject image into 3D image data; an arithmetic unit for calculating a parallax amount between parallax images in the converted 3D image data; and a display control unit for allowing a display unit to display a parallax amount in a display form different from that of an image deviation between the parallax images by performing overlapping with the display image of acquisition image data acquired by the imaging unit.
