The self-cleaning spindle drive (1) has a threaded spindle (3) arranged at a spindle nut (2) and a cleaning element (4) attached at the threaded spindle. A lubricant pocket (5) is formed at the spindle nut, where the spindle nut surrounds a portion of the periphery of the threaded spindle. The cleaning element is arranged freely in the circumferential direction to threaded spindle movable within the lubricant pocket. The cleaning element is made of a shape-adaptive polymer, particularly a shape-adaptive rubber.
