The air bag (1) has a gas generator (2) and a venting device (3), where the venting device is provided for decreasing an inner pressure of the air bag. The venting device is formed as a hose (3.2) arranged in sections in an interior of the air bag. A first end of the hose is arranged in a filling area of the air bag. A second end is arranged in an immediate area of the gas generator. The hose is made of airbag fold. The hose is formed by introducing a seam between airbag outer side and airbag inner side.
