PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump capable of detecting biting of foreign matters.SOLUTION: An oil pump 100 comprises: a casing 1 on which a suction port 2 and an emission port 3 are formed and that includes an inner rotor 12 and an outer rotor 13; an operation part 50 that is provided on an outer periphery of an adjustment ring 14 for relatively rotatably supporting the outer rotor 13, and to which a driving force is inputted: a guide part G that is provided to the casing 1 and the adjustment ring 14 and guides the adjustment ring 14 so that an axial core of the outer rotor 13 revolves around an axial core of the inner rotor 12 as a center according to the driving force inputted to the operation part 50; a driving force control part 16 for controlling the driving force inputted to the operation part 50 so that pressure of the oil emitted from the emission port 3 reaches required hydraulic pressure; and a biting determination part 17 for determining whether biting of foreign matters occurs between the casing 1 and the adjustment ring 14 based on the required hydraulic pressure and the pressure of the oil emitted from the emission port 3. |
