PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the treatment of ADHF that improves treatment outcomes for patients.SOLUTION: The present disclosure provides a method and a composition for treating acute heart failure, by administering to a subject in need of the treatment a therapeutically effective amount of an AICA riboside analog or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof. The present invention also provides a method of increasing the time from a hospital discharge to rehospitalization for an acute heart failure patient by administering to a patient in need of the treatment an AICA riboside analog or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof. |
