Disclosed is a communication apparatus, comprising: a first acquisition unit (10), for acquiring light of a first specific wavelength and light of a second specific wavelength from a first optical path; a first receiving unit (30), for converting the light of the first specific wavelength from the first acquisition unit (10) into a first electrical signal; a first control unit (40), for transmitting a first modulation signal to a first loop-back unit (20) according to the first electrical signal from the first receiving unit (30); and the first loop-back unit (20), for modulating the light of the second specific wavelength from the first acquisition unit (10) according to the first modulation signal, and looping back the modulated light of the second specific wavelength onto a second optical path, a transmission direction of an optical signal in the second optical path being opposite to a transmission direction of an optical signal in the first optical path. Also disclosed is a communication method. By means of the embodiments of the present invention, communication between terminal station apparatuses can be implemented and the service performance of the communication can be effectively ensured with no need to provide a separate light source. |
