The electric machine (10) has a stator (20) which includes an excitation winding (24) with electric conductors (26). A rotor (28) is rotatably mounted at a bearing cap (16) of housing (12) and rotated about a rotation axis relative to the stator. The electric conductor is partly received in housing (36) of the bearing cap. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing electric machine for motor vehicle.
