The machine has stator housing which is closed spatially bounded with a cover (110), and with rotatably mounted shaft. The cage disc rotor is provided in an integrated short-circuit cage. The flat-side stator magnetic field (108) is acted upon the cage disc rotor. The electromagnets are arranged on the inner side of the stator so that the orbiting rotating field (113) is acted upon the outer side of the stator housing. The soft iron runners (131) are provided in the working stator disc.
