PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a slapping that is often played on a real string instrument for obtaining a percussion sound by slapping a string on the finger board.SOLUTION: A CPU 41 performs: determining whether a level of detected intensity of picking a string exceeds a given first level; determining, if determined that the given first level has been exceeded, whether a condition is met, the condition where there is plural (e.g., 10 or more) number of frets 23 in contact with a string 22 with which the picking has been detected; and instructing generation of a predetermined slap sound to a connected sound source if determined that the condition is met.
